y/n looked at her phone as a habit and her fingers flew across the screen as she sent a text message to kyoko. asking if they could do a volcano. y/n loved sound effects, especially sound effects that went “boom!” doings a volcano was her cup of tea. upon kyoko’s agreement, the two had agreed to meet at y/n’s house for the project.

friends go over to each others house but y/n never had any friends. so having someone over was strange. but something she was more worried about was the festival, the festival was a showcase of stalls and stuff the students has learnt! people were supposed to go with their friends. makoto was going with the other classmates as he had confirmed but he said he y/n could tag along if she felt lonely. 

y/n wasn’t dead weight. so she just had to find someone on her own.

[🎴] volcano

"welcome to my humble abode!" y/n exclaimed, pushing the door with a flourish. she looked back at kyoko who merely responded with a hum. y/n nervously took out the materials and they got to work.

an hour and a half later, the two were done and they needed to write a report about it but they decided to take a break. 

"what do you want to do? play chess?" y/n asked.

kyoko looked up at this and nodded, "i'm actually rather good at chess, lets play!"

an hour later, the score was 5-12 before they decided to work again. you can tell that kyoko was the 12 and y/n was the 5. the ultimate puppeteer congratulated kyoko before they decided to do their report. while doing their report, y/n realised that they actually had a lot in common.

"thank you for inviting me," kyoko bowed and opened the door to leave. before y/n said, "we're friends now so do you want to go to the festival with me?"

the ultimate detective stared blankly at y/n's e/c eyes. 

"sure," she answered and left.

the ultimate puppeteer was glad to have made a friend that day. she was going to show everyone she wasn't someone they could take advantage of and she could make friends.
