It is the first of a two part series where they live off of nature for two days. They got to bring one item that was randomly picked, but both of their items ended up being pretty useless. The challenge was to live off of nature completely, so they had to find their own food, shelter, etc. Grayson built a pretty good shelter out of bamboo. Ethan decided to sleep on the ground which didn't end well, since he chickened out and slept in the house.

The second night they both slept outside even though it rained. Grayson helped Ethan build a bamboo bed. Her dad tells her not to because it's dangerous, but she knows she has to go to save her island. 

It could've easily ended badly, but it didn't because she was confident and believed in herself. It follows a bunch of different people who live their life in the mountains by themselves. Some of the people featured on the show include Tom Oar, Eustace Conway, and Rich Lewis. It is similar to the Dolan Twins video in how they live off the land. However, the "Mountain Men" stars live it everyday and the Dolan twins were doing it as a two day challenge. 

In the quote Ralph Waldo Emerson is saying that it is good to distance yourself from society. This show is all about living in solitude. Transcendentalists thought that society was bad. I don't know if the people of 'Mountain Men' think that society is bad, or they just need a break from it. Her channel grew very quickly and she now has almost 8 million subscribers. She moved to LA at age 17, and lives on her own. She edits her own videos and makes a lot of money from businesses who sponsor them. Most people her age are still relying on their parents, but she is very independent.

The quote expresses that it is important to believe in yourself. If Emma didn't believe in herself, she wouldn't be where she is today. The quote also says "nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind." That part means you are whole, honest with yourself, and have strong moral principles. Throughout the movie he discovers that he really likes music too. He tries to balance his basketball schedule with the musical practices. He runs into many problems, but it works out well in the end.

His basketball friends tease him about being in the musical at first, but then they realize he really likes it.
