The law at issue, Act 620, would require any physician providing abortion services in Louisiana to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the procedure. There is no medical justification for this requirement, as abortion is extremely safe. In fact, the rate of major complications requiring hospitalization is about 2 in 1,000 women.

H.B.454 a bill to ban abortion at 11 weeks. This bill is an

The House of Representatives in Kentucky need to hear that most congenital heart defects in babies are detectable at around 16 weeks. If this baby has a terminal defect, the mother will have to carry this baby the whole pregnancy knowing that they won't make it.
