However, some may argue that food supply is the most important characteristic of a civilization because it is vital for life, and without it, a civilization would not exist because there would be no people. According to “https://pmsancientmesopotamia.weebly.com”, it states, “ They needed a way to speed up the process, so that the food supply was always stable.” “https://pmsancientmesopotamia.weebly.com” also states, “So, it is very important to have a stable food supply.”

Could food suply and goverment both be the most important?

Even though I originally thought that Goverment was the most important element of a civilization, now I think that food suply may also be as important. Food suply is very impotant for a civilzation to florish becuase when we think back to the Inca civilization, they were able to survive, but they wern't able to florish becuase they always had to be looking for food, so they couldn't create new inverntions and a goverment, which is why they were easlily taken down by the conquestadors. Without a stable food suply, civilzations arent able to thrive, they are only able to survie. Stable food suply is the main building block to a civilization. After people have a stable food suply, they can work on goverment which is also important to a civilzation becuase it helps keep everything together, then they can work on other elements of a civilzation.

This connects to my claim and shows how the government impacted civilians' daily life in Mesopotamia because Hammurabi and the government made many strict laws that affected people's day to day life. The laws would keep everything in order, but they would also have harsh punishments that could ruin peoples lives. Having these laws were very important to Mesopotamia success, and without the influence of them, Mesopotamia wouldn't have been one of the most successful ancient civilizations.

This also shows how the government had the biggest influence in Mesopotamia since everyone had to abide by the law, which helped grow their civilization in every class status.

In conclusion, Goverment is the most influental part of a civilization becuase without it, everthing would cruble. There would be no order or laws, and people would be able to do whatever they want. Nobody would have jobs becuase they wouldn't want to do them, so nobody would have food or basic nesities. Hammurabi influenced Mesopotamian goverment the most, and helped grow trade, jobs and create laws. However, a Stable Food Suply is as important as a orderly goverment because without a stable food suply, people aren't able to make a goverment or work on any of the other elements of a civilization because they would be to worried about getting food. Goverment is the most important to keep a thriving civilization in order, but not as important as stable food suply would be in the begining of a civlilzation.
