When I was outside of the yard, sandpit, tubewell, trees, I feel so free, joyful and fun experience for me. I used my imagination to create a natural and creative play. Tree and wind sounds remind me music. Birds remind me dancing. Clouds and bush reminds me drama. Natural environment plays an important role for children to engage in creative play.

Number 1 picture I can see bird flying. When I saw the beautiful bird singing and flying I also want to dance with them. It reminds me our course unit resource "Mutton Bird". In that "Mutton Bird" video we can see three dance artistes performing aboriginal contemporary dance. Dance/Movement a way of expressing emotion, a language or way of communication can be used to tell a story.

Number 2 & 3 pictures remind me our course unit "Music as a language". When I heard the sounds of trees and winds I want to sing with them, I feel so free and relaxed. In the course unit's Victor Wooten video, he connected Music is a language. Music brings people together, it spread love, humanity. Music is a lifestyle, and it can save the world. Music teaches us how to be a good listener.

Number 4 picture reminds me our course unit "DADRIR MIRIAM ROSE UNGUNMER". This pictures Tubewell reminds me my village where I used to take water and play.

In this course resource the "DADRIR MIRIAM ROSE UNGUNMER", Miriam Rose has a strong connection to herself and a deep sense of belonging. She feels closely connected to her homeland and the nature around her. In the video, Miriam talks about her feelings and encourages others to see the land through her eyes. By making this video, she hopes to share her message with the audience and pass it on to future generations.

When I watched and listen to this video Dadirri, I could feel my breath. This took me deep down and I felt how we can feel nature and how we can connect to nature if we try to spend some time only with nature and ourself. Sometimes we are so busy that we cannot hear the natural voices around us like birds chirping, air flowing, water moving. We are just focused on our day-to-day busy lives. Dadirri encourages us to connect with nature with our hearts and minds. It also reflects that if you want to connect with aboriginal people you need to connect first to the nature.

Easter Egg Hunt

We’re going on an ester egg hunt

I’ve got my binoculars

It’s so tall
