It was beneficial to debrief afterwards as well. 

We can use the three read protocol to model for students and teachers. It makes problem solving very comfortable for students. Being able to try a new strategy with students right away was beneficial.

What didn't work well?
It felt like a lot of pressure to teach a whole class a new strategy with the teachers watching as well. Maybe we could have tried it with a small group of students.

The three read protocol I think will be very beneficial to students to get them to slow down and think about the context.

I wouldn't say anything didn't work well but not knowing the students or classes there were adjustments that had to be made for each group of students.

This protocol would be something to model with teachers and then have them engage in peer observations as we did.

It helps the coaches continue to grow. 

I have been more intentional this year about using protocols with my staff. I plan to think about how and when I can implement this activity with my staff. I will also use this as a strategy for social studies as well (my other content area). I felt the day has been productive thus far!
