         <description><![CDATA[<p>Rachel has a take on personal branding that I appreciate in that she doesn't actually use one. A direct quote from the article 'When Personal Branding Became a Performance' states that </p><p>"When I first started freelancing over a year ago now, I spent time worrying about how I would appear online. I made myself a (very bad) logo and treated myself like businesses that I’d done marketing for in the past.</p><p>Funnily enough, all that work I put into polishing up ‘my brand’ went nowhere. Looking back, I think it all just looks a bit ridiculous (Davies, 2021)."</p><p>She found she gained more followers and did her best when she stopped trying to force a personal brand and instead was just her authentic self.</p>]]></description>
