I grew up in a neighborhood where the borders are neighborhood pots of different subcultural and linguistic traits. In my home the anecdotes of my mother's days of work in the profession of that time (cleaning services) and those of my stepfather as a security guard, each of whom told stories of their own experience lived day after day, sounded.

In my notes, I found a space where borders became a problem due to family and social acceptance due to the lack of support for that life, in these steps I could inhabit the complexity of my mestizo identity. Drumsticks became my tool of resistance, a way to defy expectations and tell my own story on my own terms and against the tide called family.

From the moment I defended my right to decide when to go to rehearsal and when not with my grandmother's permission to the time I challenged the narrow narratives of what it means to be "normal" at home. Every small act of resistance was a step toward full acceptance of my mixed-race self, an affirmation that I don't have to choose between being this or that, but that I can be both and more.

As I do so, I find a sharper understanding of my purpose in this vast world. As I look to the future, I am certain that my personal story will continue to evolve, transforming and adapting as I capture the experiences that are still being forged in my role as an educator.

Being aware of my role as a teacher, I understand that every lesson, every interaction, is a blank page that contributes to the fabric of my life. This self-exploration not only translates into a personal narrative, but also becomes a tool to analyze the path that unfolds before me, revealing yet unwritten chapters that make up my existence between two worlds. On this journey of teaching and self-knowledge, I take on the challenge of writing my own history, marked by the fusion of cultures and the constant search for a meaningful balance.

In the constant flow of my journey, each experience becomes a stepping stone that drives me to grow and evolve. As an educator, I experience deep satisfaction in being a guide for young minds, cultivating in them not only academic knowledge, but also fundamental values. My work goes beyond the transmission of information; it is about nurturing curiosity, encouraging openness to diversity and providing the tools necessary for each student to flourish in their uniqueness.

In my role as a perpetual student, I eagerly absorb the new perspectives that are presented to me. Every book, every conversation, every academic challenge becomes opportunities to expand my horizons. The thirst for knowledge drives me to explore unknown terrain, constantly challenging my own limits. In this process, I discover the richness that exists in the variety of ideas and experiences, thus enriching my own understanding of the world around me.

This duality of roles, as an educator and student, allows me to weave a network of continuous learning, where teaching and learning are intertwined in an enriching cycle. Each lesson shared becomes a reflection of my commitment to constant evolution, both personal and professional. As I move forward, I strive not only to pass on knowledge, but also to be a catalyst that inspires the love of learning and openness to diversity in each individual that I have the privilege of guiding.

In every compass, in every chord shared with my playmates, I discover the transcendental importance of collaboration and mutual understanding. Each contest and each shared thought enriches not only my musical experience, but also my deeper understanding of the richness of human interconnectedness.

In the constant swing of learning that drives my existence, I recognize that every interaction, whether as a teacher or as a member of a wider community, contributes to my personal growth.

As I venture firmly and curiously into the world of teaching and music, each step I take becomes one more page of the complex novel that is my life. As a teacher, I am not just a transmitter of knowledge; I am a story weaver, a discovery facilitator and a guide on the journey to knowledge. In the classroom, I see diversity as a symphony of experiences that enrich learning, where each student is a unique instrument that contributes to the collective melody.

Simultaneously, my identity as a musician adds another dimension to my narrative. Every note I play is an expression of my cultural heritage, a fusion of sounds that evokes the roots of my identity. Through music, I seek to convey not only melodies, but also stories, traditions and emotions that transcend cultural barriers.

In this dual journey, as an educator and musician, my wish is that my journey will inspire others to explore their own identities, to find harmony in the diversity that surrounds us and to value the riches that each individual brings to the concert of life. In every interaction, whether in the classroom or on stage, I am leaving a unique and valuable mark on the canvas of my existence.

My commitment goes beyond notes in a score or lessons in a classroom; it is a commitment to continuous exploration, constant learning and sharing of the riches of my cultural heritage. As I continue to discover, learn and share, I not only write my own story, but also contribute to the collective narrative that links our lives in a vibrant and diverse cultural tapestry.
