Social Media. We use them everyday, We always get online everyday. We use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc, but does it good / bad ? In my opinion, we have to be balance . What I meant by balance is, we should spent time equally between our activity and our social-media usage. But if you want to be more productive, less social media, boost-up your activity , such as doing homeworks, exercise and other things! 

    If we sit on the computer for too long and just playing games and checking out facebook, we will be less productive and it makes our brain lazy . If our brain’s lazy, we will be hard to digest information that people gave us , and our brain will be more easily to get distracted, So focus on one activity at a time, You can check your social media later when you’re done .

 

Many people said that spending too much of our time in the Internet might affect our brain. But how does it affect our brain and what might happen to us if we are ‘addicted’ to the Internet? Based on some resources, an experiment proved that many college students remember less of what they have learnt when they know that they can just search for it on the Internet.  It also happens to other Internet users. 

            Some researches also proved that the brain of an addicted Internet user or person who used the Internet often used more of the side of the brain that is used for short-term memory. 

            However, some other researches said that the brain of teenagers under the age of 25 is not going to be easily affected, since they have not reached their adulthood and their brain hasn’t fully developed. 

            I personally think that it is fine to use the Internet since we are teenagers and we want to know a lot of thing in this world and also for inspirations and something useful for us, or, maybe, just for our entertainment (such as watching YouTube or opening social media). However, to not get affected by the impact of the Internet, we need to divide our time equally so we won’t be stuck on the Internet and glued to our laptop/phone screen all the time. We all need to know our limit of using the Internet.

            So, maybe, after using the Internet or social medias for less than an hour, we should put our gadgets down and do something else like reading, drawing, or doing chores. That way, we won’t be addicted to the Internet and we can divide our time equally.
