A blog is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. 
Secondly, why do people use blogs? People use blogs for many reasons firstly people us blogs to make money as it can be profitable. Also some people us blogs to give out information to friends and the public, the best example of this is the vanish cleaning page as people share videos of them cleaning their clothes with stains in them. Thirdly, people use blogs to share what they did in that day or in their life, an example of this is Facebook. Facebook is an internet page which allows people to share video's that they find funny or information about their lives that they feel comfortable enough to share therefore Facebook is a blogging site.
Thirdly, how to set up a blog. You can create a blog very easily. All you have to do is follow the next few steps. Firstly, search on the internet blogging websites.  Secondly, create an account on the site of your choice. Finally you have the access to post a blog of any topic by yourself.
Finally, your able to share your blog with friends by clicking the button in the top right saying share then everybody can see your blog and what you've wrote on them.
