With patience you can find the German versions, as this classic from the 80’s, ‘Das Modell’, probably one of my favourites. The lyric is very simple, but for me was very helpful for learning new vocabulary and improve my ear training. I translated the lyric and highlighted the most difficult words for me. It was very difficult to locate it because the title is completely different: ‘Für hund und katz ist auch noch platz’. Fortunately, the text itself is very understandable from this youtube version that I’ve found. And if you’ve read so many times the English version (like me!) you can identify many words. I also realised that the pronunciation of some words is very similar with my mother language (Spanish), which encourage me to learn. I’ve really enjoyed using this app. It’s simply and easy, and the most important thing for me is, it’s done step by step. During the first levels I’ve been practicing the articles (definite and indefinite), working on exercises to distinguish feminine from masculine. This is giving me the opportunity to practice what I’ve learnt in class. It shares the same principle than Duolingo, but it has more topics that you can choose without passing any ‘levels’.
For me, its strength is that incorporates images (mnemonics) and the images are very attractive helping me to aid the memory.
I’ve been reviewing the verbs this time, but there are plenty of options to study.

Sadly, the first attempt was a great failure! But from this I realised that I need to study harder. Also the vocabulary that this website uses is far more complicated than what I’ve learn until now, so I’m forced to check the spelling and meaning, incorporating more word to my knowledge. Even when is basic, it is very useful because is showing apart from the countries’ flags, the numbers with the correct pronunciation. German words are showed too so I could practice spelling and writing.

I’ve found this list on how to learn telling time in German:
- Learn or review the German numbers from 1-59 
- An hour is divided into quarters (viertel) and halves (halb).
- For 'half past,' you say halb and the next hour. 'Halb acht' = 7:30, i.e., half (way to) eight.
- After is nach. 'Es ist zehn nach zwei' = 2:10 (It's ten after two).
- For 'quarter past,' you say Viertel nach: 'Viertel nach neun' = 9:15.
- To or before is vor (FOR). 'Viertel vor zwei' = 1:45. 'Zehn vor elf' = 10:50.
- English 'o'clock' is Uhr in German. 'Es ist fünf Uhr' = 5:00 (five o'clock).
- For precise times, you say Uhr between the hour and the minutes: 'zehn Uhr zwölf' = 10:12.
