I had to be more open-minded to ideas and strategies and had to work with team members who were older and more experienced than me. I had to learn to manage past experiences and activities planned by others and be focused on the learning outcome. I managed to self-initiate a few ideas which were well-received and supported by the colleagues.That was rewarding which showed that the intent of students' learning was clear and manageable.  
    My HOD had irregular check-ins so I was on my own to explore and learn from my mistakes along the way. However, he did have an open-door policy where I can approach him at any point to share my predicament, mistakes, frustrations, reflections and views.

At the school level, I was given roles such as ASOE for PSLE Oral to do planning etc. 

    R: My P started this fortnightly reflection for all KPs and serve as  mentor to provide insights and sharings on leadership growth etc. Also, among the KPs we have the peer leadership programme which allow us to learn from one another. 

    C: I would sign up for courses via AST or SCCL to build up my competency in the subject area I am in charge of, in terms of pedagogy and assessment literacy.
