Once again, because they get blamed by antigun politicians, gun-control groups, and the media for the acts of deranged madmen," as he believes that he can "fix the mental-health system" that allowed people with mental illnesses to still gain access to guns, but he wants to fix it without taking away anything from law-abiding gun owners. This video first talks about Common Sense Gun Regulations, "as recent polls show that a strong majority of Americans now support such rule." But the NRA (National Rifle Association), does not believe in the Regulations as "it would be a violation of American's constitutional rights." The NRA also believes that by allowing such regulations and rules "it would be a step towards Socialism and an iron-fisted government control." This is a general notion of a mass majority of people living within the United States. In this day in age, the Government has made it almost impossible for a woman to get an abortion or access to birth control, the legalization of gay marriage was just passed and the acceptance of separating mothers from their children is okay. In the aftermath following the horrific day, February 14, 2018, where nineteen year old Nikolas Cruz open fired on the campus of Stoneman Douglas High School where he killed 17 people with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. After this traumatic day, many people all over the country called for strict gun control laws, calling out President Trump and the Republican Party for their lenient views on this topic. Many citizens throughout the country have called into action and want answers as to why there are not stricter laws in regards to gun control following the traumatic events that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School and the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.
