I collected items from neighbors to donate to the homeless shelter/warming station in downtown BHM.

Boutwell Auditorium, BHM is converted into a warming station for people in need.

It has gotten hard for my friend to go to the grocery store. She uses her iPhone to send me a pic of her grocery list. I use the Walmart app to place her order. Her groceries are then delivered to her door.

My friend, Masyn, and I delivered a bag of warm clothes, blankets and food to the homeless community in Bham. Masyn plays basketball at Samford University and is always looking for opportunity to help in the community.

Volunteered as a referee at Unless U!

I had the opportunity to officiate a basketball game between Hoover High School and Unless U, a school for adults with special needs to continue learning in a post-secondary/high school setting. It was a buzzer beater! Unless U Unicorns came out victorious but the best part was the sportsmanship from both teams pictured in this photo.

Giving Hope Christmas Experience

The Giving Hope Christmas Experience helps families in need in communities, helps put gifts under the Christmas tree for their kids, and shares the love of Jesus which is giving the lifelong gift of hope. The church creates a "shopping" mall and has a personal host assigned to every family to help them select gifts for their children. Each child receives a Bible and 5 really nice gifts. Next the gifts are tagged and taken to gift wrapping tables. While the gifts are being wrapped, ministry teams pray with each family and talk with them about any practical needs they have and find ways to help them with those, too. Once the gifts are wrapped, they're taken to the load out team's station and then every gift is taken out to the car (or whatever kind of transportation)and loaded for families to take with them for their kids. When I saw the smiles on peoples' faces when we loaded bicycles and scooters and nice headphones and dolls and tons of other really nice toys, it made me so happy and I felt like was part of something pretty big.

When walking in my neighborhood, I like to help neighbors by closing their garbage can lids to prevent them from collecting rain water. Emptying the water can be hard for the elderly.

Treats for the animals

On behalf of the ALCA National Honor Society, I like to furnish treats for the animals. We usually make them, but time was not on our side this month, so we bought 8 different types of treats for the cats and dogs at the Shelby County Human Society.

Next month we will start early and complete 4 or 5 types of homemade treats for the animals.

We had a new firehouse to open in our neighbor and I decided to deliver treats and a prayer for each of them for Halloween.

Had a great time getting to see all the equipment they use and the old firetruck they were restoring. It gave me the opportunity to say "Thank You" to them for being a part of our community.

Columbiana Police Department, Office D. Alexander, on came up with the idea to I decided to make Easter Bags with goodies for the employees to thank them for their service. Contacted Columbiana Police Department to find out how many employees they have. Then made a list of items I needed to buy, went to 3 different stores to purchase items needed. Printed out the sign for the front of the bags, glued them on each bag. Filled each bag with all the goodies. Set up a time to deliver them to the Columbiana Police Department on 04/15/2025 at 9:30am. We went to the Columbiana Police Department, presented our Easter Bags to Officer D. Alexander, he was grateful for our gifts and would distribute them to the offices as they came on duty.
