Why do you think that is?  (ie. typical dip experienced when launching a new curriculum?  students having difficulty with standards? students having difficulty reading at grade level text complexity with independence? etc>)

Have teachers been given support or training to understand what Lexile levels mean, and what they can do to help students accelerate their progress to move up Lexile levels? (Aside from just assigning a lot of Achieve articles.)
