Most students face an entirely different set of challenges with peer pressure. While it can sometimes have positive outcomes, peer pressure often leads to negative effects that can hinder personal growth and well-being, which will be discussed in this essay.

One prominent negative effect is the encouragement of risky behaviors. Young people, striving for acceptance, may engage in activities such as smoking, alcohol consumption, drug use, and reckless driving, which they would otherwise avoid. According to a research by Vietnam Television (2010), the presence of friends can increase the likelihood that adolescents will engage in risky behaviors such as smoking and drinking alcohol. These behaviors not only pose immediate health risks but can also lead to long-term consequences such as addiction and legal troubles. Students might prioritize social activities over studying to fit in with their peers, resulting in declining grades and reduced educational opportunities.

Another significant effect of friends is the deteriorated mental health. Constant pressure to conform can cause stress, anxiety, and depression. For example, research by TV360 shows that social pressure from friends is closely related to the development of depressive symptoms in adolescents. Young individuals might feel a sense of inadequacy if they fail to meet the perceived standards set by their peer group. This can lead to low self-esteem and, in severe cases, contribute to self-harm or suicidal thoughts.

In conclusion, while peer pressure is an inevitable part of growing up, its negative effects can be mitigated through self-awareness, supportive relationships, and involvement in positive activities. By adopting these strategies, young people can navigate peer pressure more effectively and make healthier choices.

In Vietnam, accidents and fires are a common issue that provides serious threats to property and public safety. The increasing frequency of these occurrences is caused by a number of underlying factors: regulatory errors and inadequate facilities, which will be discussed in this essay.

Firstly, faulty electrical systems, insufficient fire exits, and subpar construction materials are frequently the cause of this non-compliance, all of which increase the danger of fires. For example, the Khuong Ha mini apartment, which suffers disastrous fire in 2023, does not adhere to current fire safety regulations.Factories in industrial zones also often operate without adequate fire safety precautions, creating dangerous working conditions.

Secondly, regulatory oversight and enforcement are often insufficient. Although Vietnam has established fire safety regulations, their implementation and enforcement are inconsistent. In fact, businesses and residential buildings may neglect necessary safety upgrades, increasing the likelihood of accidents and fires.

In conclusion, the frequent occurrence of fires and accidents in Vietnam is a heated debate originating from infrastructural shortcomings, regulatory lapses. Addressing this problem requires a comprehensive approach that includes improving infrastructure and strengthening regulatory enforcement. Vietnam cannot lessen the hazards or lower the frequency of such hazardous incidents without coordinated efforts.

In conclusion, the frequent occurrence of fires and accidents in Vietnam is a heated debate originating from infrastructural shortcomings, regulatory lapses.

There is a heated debate about the design of new towns in whether the authority should give more consideration to the construction of parks and sports facilities rather than shopping centers. I completely agree with the idea and in the essay I will support my opinion with examples.

To begin with, public parks and sports facilities provides different exercise types of equipment to encourage people to exercise, which results in better health for the residents of the area. The belief that public parks and sports facilities should be introduced in a town can be attributed to the fact that nowadays most people follow an inactive and hectic lifestyle. Due to this, they completely ignore their health. If there were playgrounds and sports clubs near their places, it is more likely that they would spend time in such activities which help them to keep their body fit and fine. For example, in Western countries like the U.S.A. and Canada, the government spends huge amounts of money on developing public gardens.

Incorporating athletic venues and green spaces into everyday routines could also help alleviate community members’s tension. People these days are experiencing significant levels of stress as a result of a work-life imbalance. They may feel more at ease if they jog or walk in the middle of the outdoors. According to a recent World Health Organization research, doing sports can curtail people’s risk of stress by half. In other words, in order to reduce stress, such infrastructure should be included in local planning.

To sum up, I firmly believe that when designing new urban areas, prioritizing spaces for exercise over retail complexes is essential. This approach not only combats public inactivity but also significantly aids in stress reduction for residents.
