When a child cough normally,the cilia which is the tiny hairs lining the lungs moves in waves to clear away mucus.<br><br>ABNORMALITIES WHEN A CHILD IS AFFECTED WITH PERTUSSIS <br>*The bacteria BOrdettella Pertussis gets into the lungs and sticks to the lining of the lungs <br>* the bacteria produces pertussis toxins which paralysis the cilia,This causes mucus accumulation which leads to continuous coughing and sometimes vomit.</div>]]></description>
