Many books nowadays (or schools) have their own apps or offer a keyword to access their digital material and cover it at your own pace. The teacher can always see the student's progress on these apps/environments. They are similar to Duolingo but adapted to what you are seeing in class and typically offer a lot of extra videos and resources that are great for students to work on their own.

There are only many online libraries such as e-Reader with free access to their content (texts and also audio). The teacher could provide students with places to discuss on their own, like for example a Padlet or forum.

Universitat de València, Spain

Doing so, they will get more used to seeing thinigs in English. Another good example, which I think is one of the most effective one is waatching series and movies in English. This is super effective and their ear gets super used to different languages and also when they start to reproduce (speaking skill) they will perform much better than those who don't do this.
