A Song That Changed My Life – “My Way” by Frank Sinatra

One song that really changed my life is “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. I first heard it while preparing for a concert at my music academy. At first, I didn’t know much about the song or the singer, but once I listened to the lyrics, it hit me deeply.

The song is all about living life on your own terms and not having regrets. It made me feel strong and confident, especially because I was nervous about performing. The words helped me believe in myself and reminded me that it’s okay to be different and follow my own path.

Singing “My Way” during the concert was a special moment. I connected with the song in a way I hadn’t before, and it helped me grow as a performer. Now, whenever I feel unsure or scared, I listen to it again. It gives me courage and reminds me that I can do things my way too.

That’s why this song means so much to me.

The Price of Fame: Is It Worth It?

In my opinion, fame often brings more problems than happiness.

Many famous people struggle with privacy. Imagine not being able to go outside without cameras following you. Stars like Britney Spears and Justin Bieber have spoken about the stress of constant attention. Fame can also be lonely. Friends and family may treat you differently, and it’s hard to know who truly cares about you.

Mental health is another big issue. Celebrities like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have shared their struggles with anxiety and depression, partly because of fame’s pressures. Some even turn to drugs or alcohol to cope.

Of course, fame has perks—money, opportunities, and influence. But the loss of freedom and peace is a high price to pay. I believe happiness doesn’t come from fame but from a simple, balanced life with real connections.

Why we need art in our lives?

For me and for many other teenagers I think we have a very busy and very stressed life, we have obligations such as going to school, doing homework, or we have to do other activities. I think that like all teenagers we try to do everything during the day. We need something that distracts us from all our concerns as teenagers, for me listening to music or making desserts is my way of venting when I feel bad or when I did badly in my workouts or I feel worried.

For me personally I like cooking I feel good because I can listen to music or share time with myself or my mommy, I like to know that I can share time with other people and not have to worry about anything else, I know that pastry itself is not an art but for me it is a way of expressing myself, decorating it that I do the way I like, putting flavors or colors.

I don't know about the others but for me baking is important to release my emotions.

I imagine that for other teenagers there are other ways to vent. I don't know about music or something like that, but that's why I think art is very important to me and everyone.

When you think about a song, what’s the first one that comes to your mind? Mine is: Vivir Mi Vida of Marc Anthony. But first, I want to say that I have always liked music, since I was little, my parents took videos of me dancing and signing, specially to salsa.

There is a video that my dad took when I was around 7 years old, I remember that video because I have watched it a lot of times! In the video, I’m with the school uniform and a small guitar (not an ukelele), in the background, a song is playing at a high volume. I’m dancing, signing and jumping at the rhythm of the song, which is salsa.

“Vivir mi Vida” talks about a relaxed life, that we have to laugh, smile, and enjoy every time, which is a very significant message. “Vivir mi Vida” is a really important song for me, it makes me think about my childhood and it basically shaped my music style nowadays. I still listen to Marc Anthony and I now by memory my favorite song about him.

What’s your favorite song? And why is it important for you?

Comment below!

Why we need art in our lives.

Art is essential in our lives, because it connects us to ourselves and to each other. Whether through music, painting, dance, or writing, art allows people to express emotions and ideas that only words often cannot express. It gives us a way to process our feelings, reflect on personal experiences, and understand the world around us among the huge quantity of different cultures . For many, art is a form of healing, a way to evade stress, or concentrate.

Art also brings people together. When we listen to the same song, admire a powerful painting, or read a great story, we share a common experience that builds empathy and understanding. It helps us see life through someone else’s eyes and feel connected, even across cultures or generations.

Art is not just decoration or entertainment or something to disconnect, it’s a vital part of being human.

It reflects who we are, where we come from, and what we dream of becoming. In a world full of change and noise, art reminds us to slow down, feel, and interact with the good part of the life or seeking something in us.

A song that changed my life: "Bury the Light" is a song that completely changed my life. Not only did it capture me with its melody and strength, but it also gave me a new perspective on how to face life's challenges. It taught me that no matter how difficult the circumstances, the most important thing is to keep moving forward. This song reminds me to stand strong in the face of adversity, to endure and never give up. No matter what life throws at me, I must always get back up. If I fall, I have to get back up, and not only that, but to do so with more strength, determination, and courage than before, so that this time nothing can bring me down.

Every time I listen to "Bury the Light," I feel an inner spark that drives me to keep going, even when I feel like I've given it my all. It motivates me to give 110% of myself, to never settle, and to fight for my goals. For me, it's not just a song; it's a constant reminder that I have the strength to overcome any difficulty and keep moving forward.

Hi everybody, hope you are well.

Today I will talk about art & the importance it has in our lives.

But before, what is art, it's the expression of human creativity & imagination.

Most people think art is just paintings, which is totally wrong, there are a lot of types of art & mostly everything could be considered like it, as it stimulates our thoughts, emotions, beliefs & ideas.

I have to say that my favourite ways of art are fashion, literature, music & dance, because through things that might be so plain (doesn't have a background or "communicate" anything just by glance) are the ones that transmit & hide the greatest feelings & emotions, you only need to look through the artistic movement, as Julia Margaret Cameron used to say -"The capacity of delight is the gift of paying attention"-. With this you can understand & appreciate what is in front of you.

Some people say that readers, read to scape from reality, dancers to express repressed emotions, musicians to say what they can't, & so on.

So at the end it is also a way of communication, & we (even in a little degree) are artists.

Well, in which branch of arts are you artists?

Lucciana Carrera

Why we need art in our lives:

Art has been the basic form of expression for a very long time, even considering the early civilizations where the ways we know they exist and the knowledge that was passed from each generation. Also, we can see that even in modern days art is still relevant, with for example famous artworks like Van Gogh’s starry night, or famous poems, music, etc.

In my opinion, there are so much things you can transmit through art that you may find difficult with words. It’s actually very healthy to express our emotions through something, and art is one of those ways because with color, technique, and symbology in the objects you paint you can create something very meaningful. Art in general meaning music, and writing show through rhymes and strategic combinations a feeling that wants to be transmitted, connections can also be formed because people may relate to that emotions you are sharing.

In conclusion, art is very useful to connect and communicate a certain objective and we should use it more often because it leaves a long lasting mark in many people’s lives.
