         <title>Decrease in urban (SD) areas. Able to use differential warrants and conditionally release kids. Did not see a decrease in rural areas. Have had some very serious crimes warranting detention. Hard to navigate conversations about perception of crime increase.</title>

March-Oct 2020 79% of entrant children of color and dual involved--high needs, low level. Get as many kids out as possible but high needs kids left out.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Prosecutors used diversion WAY more than ever during the pandemic- we doubled our successful diversions across the state. We also decreased net widening practices during the pandemic like UAing youth and over contact on diversion or probation. We have use this as talking points with our diversion work groups- you can have successful diversions without over supervising!<br><br></div>]]></description>
