The RPK lectures have been difficult to engage in and take a specific understanding from.

Consideration for when certain lectures are schedules e.g. reading strategy, lit review and complex ideas should be taught before our deadline. Having understanding complex ideas lecture 3 days before our literature review is due is not the most helpful

I like the way these lectures are structured, the assignment is clear and the lectures are interesting and engaging

The sessions have been really useful, and it’s good to have some separate time and activities focused just on reflection and, Clare teaches them in a very engaging way as always!

The communication this year from lecturers has been really good, and what we need to do has been made very clear to us. Agree that the 1:1 meetings are very valuable and makes you feel supported.

Reading strategy session was useful and scheduled at the perfect time to serve as a reminder just before concerted effort to reading for literature review was necessary

Lots of support across all modules. Having soft deadlines for RMP is really helpful and means we can solely focus on placement whilst there. The library session was also a really helpful one.

The soft deadlines throughout make the overall dissertation much more manageable and I appreciate the consideration for placement. The library search session was useful but would have been more helpful if it had been a few weeks earlier. Similar to the session about the lit review the week after placement as we had not had a chance yet to know the way we were structuring our lit review so we couldn't answer the question about how we would do that. It would have been more helpful if the session about organising ideas came earlier on instead.

Overall these sessions have been really useful, soft deadlines make everything clear and lots of support offered. In some weeks the teaching when Matthew hasn’t been there has been confusing. Seems like just reading off the slides and finding it hard to connect to what we need to do.

I really like how the course has been structured this year. So much easier being able to focus on one thing at a time and makes it more manageable

I prefer the way in which the professional practice records have been held in a paper file the last two years compared to the current system of all being on PebblePad. It is fine to have some of the information on PebblePad but also useful to have easy access to paper records especially if the wifi in school is not available :)

Mental health support

Lectures and advisors/mentors need to be more aware of our mental health. After a bad first report, and not much support following that I have seen serious flaws in the system.

I won’t go into more detail than that, what I’m trying to say is we are people too, we may have to take time off for adult things like house viewings and appointments and school visits and job interviews.
