The Tovertafel, or Tover for short is a interactive projector, that creates a inclusive learning environment for children. The Tover is preloaded with games that encourage social emotional skills between all students. Students must work together to complete tasks on the Tover such as getting a ball into a goal, or getting shapes in objects color coordinated. Tover brings purposeful play into the classroom and can be used to enhance relationships across students and as a classroom incentive.

UDL Guidelines:

Engagement- Welcome Interest and Identities

7.3 Nurture Joy and Play- the Tover is a program that encourages imagination and play between students. Each Tover is packed with games that help students discover other worlds. Such as their games encouraging students to find shells at a beach! The Tover is also very student friendly so students can choose which game they would like to play which can help make deeper connections to their identities and classmates.

Emotional Capacity- 9.2 Develop Awareness of Self and Others

Many of Tovers games allow four players, whereas, all players must be working in cohesion to complete a task. This can encourage helping one another in the classroom and managing frustration in one member needs extra assistance.

Representation- Building Knowledge-3.1 Connect Prior Knowledge to New Learning

Tover has a plethora of games that can be unlocked based on skill level, so once a group of students has mastered a set of games, the Tover will then use the same games but on harder levels to enhance student learning.

More UDL: Representation (1.1, lots of ways to display information and settings, 1.2 music, visuals, and videos are used in user experience.)

This program is specifically designed to create a inclusive user experience. Due to this, the Tover can be used by all students even those with mobility issues since all you need is a single tap of a item to play (hand, foot, pool noodle). Since many students have goals related to interacting with others and emotional regulation, the Tover is a unique and fun way to allow all students to participate in a activity together while still learning how to work together as a team.
