Ultimately, the point of our existence is to learn and reproduce, but having learned so much and established such an advanced web of art, culture, and having applied our own significances onto what the basic material world gave us from the beginning of humanity, I think being human is to engage in that web of culture and advance the structure of that web; the more connections, the more civilized and significant we become. In short, to use our vessels to make new things just as they were made. It's a continuous line of creation.
