¨Can´t see the forest for the tree´s"
Speaker and Audience: Who said this? Who is it said to?

Mrs.McCraw said this to Moose.
Context: What is happening(plot elements) in the story when it is being said?
Mrs.McCraw went to Moose´s house, to talk with his mother. She told Mooses mother that Natalie should be put in a Asylum, and that she should focus on Moose. Mooses mother orders Mrs.McCraw out, and she forgets her purse inside. When Moose brings out her purse, she says this to him.

What does this quote mean? What does it reveal about the characters, conflict, and theme?
The quote means that Mooses mother cannot see the obvious. It reveals that Natalie is misunderstood by many people, who have never lived with her and make judgments based on what they see. I think it is part of the theme, how people don´t understand Natalie.

What does this quote mean?

This quote means that sometimes things can be right in front of you, and you can't see them. Some people don't want to see those things, I personally think we only remember what we want to. If we do remember negative things, we try to block them out, pretend they never happened to us. Because that is easier than actually thinking about the situation.

Explain Significance
The way she says this, and the circumstances, make this statement seem a bit cruel and careless. The author is trying to make us see that few people understand Natalie, and how her brain works. I don't think many people even try to talk about her, they just make quick judgments.

Include 3 images
This picture reminds me of the quote, because it is almost like you are blind, you don´t want to see the truth.

This picture reminds me of the quote, because you choose to ignore the truth.

This picture reminds me of the quote, because even though there is a forest, it says the ¨Tree is obscuring the view¨ But the tree is part of the forest, so clearly, you should be able to see the forest.

Mrs. McCraw. The momś second cousin. She says this to Moose.
Mrs. McCraw was talking with the mom about putting Natalie in an asylum. She said it as the humane thing to do, but the mom did not like that. So the mom had her leave and she forgot her knitting bag so Moose ran it out to her and that is when Mrs. McCraw said it to him.
I think that it means that family is to close to see things in a different way because it may make them feel like they are being mean. It reveals us that the family is very close with each other and like to keep everybody together.
I think that people should get help with whatever they need. If that means sending someone to a special place for them to get help then that is what needs to be done. The author is trying to make us see that sometimes very hard decisions have to be made in a family and it may make some family members sad even tho it is a good decision.

Mooses mom's second cousin Mrs. McCraw said it to Moose.

Moose is remembering when she came to visit and told Mooses mom that she should put Natale in an Asylum because it is the humane thing to do.

The quote means that she is blind to the obvious thing, even though she is not that is just what Mrs.McCraw said she was, which reveals she is mean and kind of a big jerk.

This quote means to me that Mrs.McCraw is a jerk because Natalie does not need to be put in an Asylum.
