One of the pieces of advice spoke to me the most which is speaking to a credit card counsellor because I personally know a few people in really bad credit card debt and they get calls regarding their credit all the time. So I feel like they should consider looking into a counsellor because ignoring calls and not doing anything about it will do more damage than good.

There are two different programs you can apply for one being the debt management program. Which is where they work with your budget that you don't have to take out more money to pay off the debt you are in. Then the other program is called the debt settlement program which is when you offer unsecured creditors money (assuming it has to be a lot) in order for these creditors to write off the remaining debt you have.

They will tell you in articles to do this and that and you will be all good but life does not work that way. There is always going to be set backs wether it's an accident, emergency, death in the family. All the not so great things about life.

Both ways work very effectively but they both have disadvantages. It really depends on your financial situation and how much you can throw into your debt. I think the snowball method would be the best option for someone that has a minimum wage job because once you pay the first debt in a fairly good amount of time it will motivate you to keep going. The avalanche
is a longer wait to see the first debt paid off.

Just because you are in debt doesn't mean you should put yourself into even more debt. The littlest things you purchase it can really add up in the long run. Then at the very tail end of the video where Peter mentions that he stays up all night with panic attacks about how much debt he's in, is probably how a lot of people feel if they feel very hopeless in getting out of their credit card debt.

The student loans is the only understandable debt, but it still is insane how much money they spent on to education. But nonetheless all the other debt they have is not necessary.
They are spending so much more above their means. The car debt is most likely because they both probably have brand new cars, and it is totally not necessary to own a brand new car. Now from all of these poor life choices both the woman and the man made they now have to change their lifestyle completely.

The more your credit score is the less interest rate you pay, and you are always guaranteed to be able to borrow money if your credit score is 740 and above. It makes quite a difference of how much interest rates make a big impact depending on where you are in your credit score levels. The lower you are in your credit score the more interest you pay and the higher your credit score is least amount you pay. This video really inspires me to use my credit card more often so I can really build up a high credit score so when it comes to making big purchases in my future I will be paying the lowest interest rate possible.
