The level below Brahmans were called Kshatriyas, This level was made up of people of royalty and soldiers. The next level of cates were the Vaishyas, The Vaishyas were mostly Merchants, landowners and Farmers. Gandhi's family belongs to this group.
The next level was called Sudras, the lowest level of castes. They consisted of workers and craft men. There was also untouchables, they ranked so low that they werent even part of the caste system. Gandhi created a settlement and discouraged this system, he treated untouchables like normal people.

•This isn't important but Gandhi was a vegetarian, when he went to london it was hard to find food to eat, then one day he found a vegetarian resteraunt, he liked it very much and joined a vegetarian community.
