I am Tagese Kalsido, here digital learning is very important to make effective teaching and learning; it can bring strong collaboration with a lot of students without limitation of place at the same time. Padlet platform is also very crucial method to involve every student and reflex their ideas freely; at this time they can share the knowledge from different perspectives.

Student-to-student interaction technologies are leveraging digital tools to enhance collaboration, communication, and engagement among students. In my experience, I had been using telegram and messaging systems. In this muster class, I gained different technologies for student-to-student interaction, such as discussion and forum platforms and the application of video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. So I will use these for my future.

Additionally, I use Telegram to communicate with my students and share files. By using Telegram, I have gained various advantages. I can easily and regularly connect with my students since a majority of them use Telegram platform. Moreover, Telegram enables me to share a big files of up to 2GB, including videos and documents, it also addressing the challenges I previously faced with email communication. To be honest,I haven't been deeply involved in online interactions between students and teachers, aside from using Telegram for file sharing and discussions about assignments and deadlines. For our master's classes, we usually use Google Meet, and sometimes Jitsi or Zoom, though Zoom is less frequent since it's not free.

However, as we continue in this teaching profession, it's clear that we need to embrace the technology available to us. By doing so, we can make teaching and learning more interactive, easier, more enjoyable, and more accessible for both students and teachers.

This course we're currently taking has opened my eyes to the many tools that are specifically designed for learning and teaching. Moving forward, I plan to take full advantage of these tools to enhance the educational experience.

Prefer the Telegram group channel for student-student interaction and online teaching. It's very simple and accessible on a laptop or cell phone. We can share Word, PDF, short videos, and different links to be accessible to students. More importantly, we can discuss openly with students, answer the questions, and summarize the issues discussed. Overall, Telegram Group Channel 1 is the best student-student interaction platform for online learning and teaching.

I would like to share an example of technology in online learning that significantly enhances student-to-student interaction. Collaborative platforms like Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams are excellent tools for this purpose. These platforms allow students to collaborate on projects, share resources, and engage in discussions in real time, regardless of their physical location. With features like video conferencing, group chats, and shared documents, students can work together effectively, exchange ideas, and provide peer feedback, creating a more interactive and engaging learning experience.

In a trauma care course, this approach not only allows students to engage deeply with the material but also fosters peer-to-peer learning as they critique and build on each other's ideas. By using Padlet, the interaction becomes more dynamic and visually engaging, encouraging creativity and deeper exploration of trauma care concepts.

It was very interesting student-to- student interaction discussion. To be honest, I learned a lot and gained valuable experience from this discussion. I feel that such an online forum and online learning could address a number of issues that we have in face-to-face delivery methods. It is also critical for all learners’ students and in a variety of learning environments and learning modes. Recently, I have been participating in a Master Class: Foundations for Excellence in Teaching Online. This class has helped me recognize the potential of different, more effective platforms for enabling both synchronous and asynchronous student interaction.

Based on my learnings, for my future teaching endeavors, I have decided to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft 365.

Some of the key features of Microsoft 365 that I plan to utilize include:

Microsoft Teams to create virtual classrooms, share content, conduct live classes, and facilitate discussions;

OneDrive for cloud storage and file sharing;

OneNote for digital note-taking and collaboration;

Microsoft Forms for surveys, quizzes, and polls;

Outlook email for communication;

Microsoft Stream to record and share instructional videos;

PowerPoint to create engaging lecture materials; and

Word and Excel for collaborative written assignments and data analysis.

The plan is to integrate these various Microsoft 365 tools to build a cohesive online learning environment that enables rich synchronous and asynchronous interactions between students-to-students and myself as the instructor.

After successfully passing the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination, Awoke joined Jimma University Ambo College (now Ambo University) in September 1998 and graduated with a B.Sc. Degree in Animal Science (Animal Production) in June 2000. After his graduation, he was employed by the Ministry of Agriculture and worked at Sekela Woreda, West Gojjam Zone, as an expert in the Extension Team in the section of Technology Transfer in Animal Production and Forage Development for three and a half months.

Driven by a passion for further education, Awoke Kassa pursued his postgraduate studies at Haramaya University in March 2009, where he earned his M.Sc. Degree in Animal Production. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices in Ethiopia.

His dissertation, titled "Optimizing Duckweed Cultivation and Its Impact on Milk Yield and Quality in Lactating Crossbred Dairy Cows at Debre Markos University," reflects his commitment to enhancing animal productivity through sustainable practices.

Throughout his career, Awoke Kassa has been instrumental in securing project proposals at Jigjiga University, focusing on camel calf management, smallholder dairy production, and rangeland degradation. He also secured integrated fish, poultry, and vegetable farming projects at Debre Elias and Debre Markos University, in addition to leading several proposal projects on forage, beekeeping, and poultry.

Awoke Kassa has contributed significantly to the academic community, authoring over 17 articles published in various journals and providing peer reviews for more than 8 articles and proposals at Debre Markos University. His work has spanned diverse cultural landscapes across Ethiopia (Amhara, Oromiya, Harari, and Somali regions) and internationally (Israel, Thailand, Laos, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Russia), equipping him with the skills to effectively engage and mobilize communities.

As he continues to advance in his academic and research endeavors, Awoke Kassa is actively seeking funding opportunities to support his PhD research on duckweed and other innovative projects. He remains passionate about fostering a dynamic learning environment that values cultural, social, and economic diversity. As an assistant professor and PhD candidate, he is committed to leveraging his knowledge and experiences to contribute meaningfully to academia and community development.
