         <description><![CDATA[<p>In my experience,  I like Microsoft teams as a student - to- Student interaction discussion tool hence it provides students to share their screen with colleagues and lets them update and solidify their mind. It lets teams or groups to feel as they are working with friends in a face-to-face manner. This tool lets students to access the computer screen of the other group members aimed to provide a seamless assistance virtually. </p>]]></description>

I have learned a lot of things regarding different technologies for student-to-student interaction from different instructors from different universities. Some of the technologies that have been mentioned from the Padlet were <strong>Zoom</strong> for virtual conferencing, Padlet<strong> for collaborative discussions,</strong> <strong>Google Meet</strong> for video conferencing screen sharing, and so on. In addition to what has been mentioned, I would like to add a wonderful platform I have been using for student-to-student interaction. This platform is a <strong>GoTo meeting platform</strong></p><p><strong>GoToMeeting can be a viable option for student-to-student interaction because of the following features:</strong></p><p>·       It's easy to use and can be integrated with other Google Workspaces</p><p>·       Video Conferencing</p><p>·       Screen Sharing</p><p>·       Recording and Playback</p><p>·       Scheduling and Calendar Integration as well as Whiteboarding and Annotation.</p><p>I hope you will like it if you use it. I am working as a lecturer in the department of software engineering, and I am here to share student-to-student online collaboration tools for technology students. As technology students are learning technical courses related to programming, data science, engineering, e.t.c., GitHub is a better choice to work together. GitHub is a very important tool for student-to-student collaboration. Especially for Software Engineering and Computer Science courses or projects that involve much coding, software development, or any work, we can get benefits from GitHub as it covers version control and collaborative editing. Generally, we can use GitHub for the following reasons:. • It's version control system allows students to keep track of changes, return to previous versions, and understand the history of a project. Multiple students can work on the same project simultaneously. GitHub facilitates the merging changes from different students. • Students can review each other's code, provide feedback, and suggest improvements, encouraging a collaborative learning environment. • GitHub offers project management tools such as issue tracking, task boards, and milestones, which help in organizing and managing group projects. • It prepares students for real-world software development practices, making it an appreciated tool for their future careers by keeping students’ portfolios in one place. Google Workspace tools are also very important for technology students as they allow direct collaboration. Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides are more suitable, as multiple students can edit documents and interact with each other in real time. Thank you!</p>]]></description>

This diverse approach is commendable as it offers students multiple learning avenues and prevents over-reliance on any single platform</p><p><br></p><p>Among these platforms, I have primarily utilized Telegram for online learning, especially for sharing exit exam-related courses. Its widespread popularity as an online learning tool is due to several factors: accessibility, affordability, user-friendly interface, and reliable performance. Telegram's high penetration rate, low data consumption, and features such as group chats, channels, file sharing, and bots make it a strong choice. I have been serving as a lecturer of plant science department for the past 6 and half years. I have specialized in plant biotechnology. As an instructor I have been using different online teaching and learning technologies so far like telegram channels, google meeting, google zoom and an E-learning website developed by staffs of our Universities. I have been using the above technologies for giving online exams, student to student discussion, material sharing, research paper defense and evaluation. From these technologies telegram was the one I frequently used because it is the simplest one for all students.  However, after the current training I found that Padlet is suitable for my specialization as a specific and my department in general. My department courses shall be supported by practical parts like lab work, field observation, internship and research. Thus, I will use it in the future. Because, is is simple to use, capable of  sharing information in different ways like images, texts, links and videos. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone, this is Birhanu.I want to say thank you for sharing your experiances about the tools you used for the student to student and student to teacher interactions.</p><p>To be honest,I haven't been deeply involved in online interactions between students and teachers, aside from using Telegram for file sharing and discussions about assignments and deadlines. For our master's classes, we usually use Google Meet, and sometimes Jitsi or Zoom, though Zoom is less frequent since it's not free.</p><p>However, as we continue in this teaching profession, it's clear that we need to embrace the technology available to us. By doing so, we can make teaching and learning more interactive, easier, more enjoyable, and more accessible for both students and teachers.</p><p>This course we're currently taking has opened my eyes to the many tools that are specifically designed for learning and teaching. First of all, I would like to thank those who shared their experiences on online technology platforms used for student-to-student and student-to-teacher interactions. I gained a lot of experience with alternative platforms for the future. Coming to my experience, I prefer using the Telegram platform to facilitate student-to-student and student-to-teacher interaction. This is because almost all students easily utilize the platform by using their smart phones, and an unlimited number of students can easily access it for free and enables to share recorded presentations either in the form of video or audio, create groups to share documents and assignments. I have been enjoyed too many interesting student to student interaction platforms from the padlet here. I have a plan to use google met, microsoft teams and google docs in my future carrier. Now, I am honorable to share you a new versatile platform which I have been used called "moodle". It is a popular open source LMS that offers arange of features that can facilitate effective student to student interaction. It is very helpful to create dedicated discussion forums, collaborative knowledge building wikis, chatrooms, blogs for personal reflections and project management tools. </p><p>The wiki in moodle allow students to collaboratively create and edit contents, fostering team work and knowledge sharing. </p><p>What is unique in moodle? </p><p>1) Has ramification elements  like badges and points</p><p>2) Accessibility to disable students</p><p>3) Customization to specific needs</p><p>4) Integration with other tools such us google drive and zoom.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Greetings, my name is Tamrat Berara and I am a lecturer in the Civil Engineering department at Wolaita Sodo University. In previous years, I have taught various road and transport engineering courses to undergraduate students. During that time, I used Telegram to facilitate student-to-student and student-to-teacher interactions and support online teaching and learning activities.</p><p>Recently, I have been participating in a Master Class: Foundations for Excellence in Teaching Online. This class has helped me recognize the potential of different, more effective platforms for enabling both synchronous and asynchronous student interaction.</p><p>Based on my learnings, for my future teaching endeavors, I have decided to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft 365.</p><p>Some of the key features of Microsoft 365 that I plan to utilize include:</p><p>Microsoft Teams to create virtual classrooms, share content, conduct live classes, and facilitate discussions;</p><p>OneDrive for cloud storage and file sharing;</p><p>OneNote for digital note-taking and collaboration;</p><p>Microsoft Forms for surveys, quizzes, and polls;</p><p>Outlook email for communication;</p><p>Microsoft Stream to record and share instructional videos;</p><p>PowerPoint to create engaging lecture materials; and</p><p>Word and Excel for collaborative written assignments and data analysis.</p><p>The plan is to integrate these various Microsoft 365 tools to build a cohesive online learning environment that enables rich synchronous and asynchronous interactions between students-to-students and myself as the instructor.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Greetings to all!  I am Misganu Bacha. I am the academic staff of Jimma University, college of Business and Economics, department of Banking and Finance. Currently,  I am teaching undergraduate students. As we know technology enhances education one step forward. So, in the teaching and learning process using technology is very important. In my experience regarding students to student online interactions, I prefer to use telegram and WhatsApp. I utilize this platform for <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">file sharing</a> (handout, books, module and other materials either by ppt or Pdf), messaging with students and sending audio and videos related to my course outlines through recording my audio and videos or by downloading other lecture videos. In addition to telegram and WhatsApp, sometimes I prefer to use Google meetings and zoom for research conferences and other programs,  however this needs a network connection and materials ( personal computer, desktop and smartphone). All in all telegram is the best student to student online interaction for me, because it operates by low data usage and less expensive (low cost).</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The author, Awoke Kassa, was born in Gudermahal village in Surba Michael Kebele, Sekela Woreda, West Gojjam Zone of Amhara National Regional State from his father Ato Kassa Zewdie and his mother W/o Yenework Addimassie Yeshaneh in 1977. He attended his elementary education in Sureba Elementary School, Sekela Woreda from 1987 to 1991. He completed his junior and senior high school education in Fageta (1992-1993) and Dangela (1994-1998) schools, respectively.</p><p>After successfully passing the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination, Awoke joined Jimma University Ambo College (now Ambo University) in September 1998 and graduated with a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">B.Sc</a>. Degree in Animal Science (Animal Production) in June 2000. After his graduation, he was employed by the Ministry of Agriculture and worked at Sekela Woreda, West Gojjam Zone, as an expert in the Extension Team in the section of Technology Transfer in Animal Production and Forage Development for three and a half months.</p><p><strong>Driven by a passion for further education, Awoke Kassa pursued his postgraduate studies at Haramaya University in March 2009, where he earned his </strong><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><strong>M.Sc</strong></a><strong>. Degree in Animal Production. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices in Ethiopia.</strong></p><p><strong>Driven by a passion for further education, Awoke Kassa</strong> pursued his postgraduate studies at Haramaya University, where he earned his <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">M.Sc</a>. Degree in Animal Production in [insert year]. His academic journey continued as he earned a post-master’s international diploma in dual agriculture (PMID) from AICAT School in Israel. Complementing his technical expertise, he also pursued an MBA from Debre Markos University, College of Business and Economics, Department of Management.</p><p>In January 2020, Awoke Kassa embarked on his career as an assistant professor at Debre Markos University, while simultaneously pursuing his PhD. His dissertation, titled "Optimizing Duckweed Cultivation and Its Impact on Milk Yield and Quality in Lactating Crossbred Dairy Cows at Debre Markos University," reflects his commitment to enhancing animal productivity through sustainable practices.</p><p>Throughout his career, Awoke Kassa has been instrumental in securing project proposals at Jigjiga University, focusing on camel calf management, smallholder dairy production, and rangeland degradation. He also secured integrated fish, poultry, and vegetable farming projects at Debre Elias and Debre Markos University, in addition to leading several proposal projects on forage, beekeeping, and poultry.</p><p>Awoke Kassa has contributed significantly to the academic community, authoring over 17 articles published in various journals and providing peer reviews for more than 8 articles and proposals at Debre Markos University. His work has spanned diverse cultural landscapes across Ethiopia (Amhara, Oromiya, Harari, and Somali regions) and internationally (Israel, Thailand, Laos, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Russia), equipping him with the skills to effectively engage and mobilize communities.</p><p>As he continues to advance in his academic and research endeavors, Awoke Kassa is actively seeking funding opportunities to support his PhD research on duckweed and other innovative projects. He remains passionate about fostering a dynamic learning environment that values cultural, social, and economic diversity.
