This padlet I will be talking about Ben Ratliff's definition of transmission. Transmission in this case is discussed as a "extreme form of emotion" (Ratliff, 2016). At first it was sort of a difficult concept to grasp. I knew what he mean't, by found it very difficult to show what it mean't. I also did not find the examples in the music very helpful in understanding "Transmission", but that is probably because I really don't know what "feeling" he is trying to get across. I agree with Ratliff's idea on transmission, but think that it is not a catch all term, and certain music can only transmit if that music is personally tied to the individual.
