The teacher should have some sort of guidelines for the pupils, for example a task where one part of the class gets the paper "A" while the other half of the class gets the paper "B". The pupils should then go around and answer the blank fields, finding partners of the opposite letter respectively. A paper shouldn't always be necessary to do a task based learning though; it could be as simple as telling them to talk about what they've done in their weekend; the task should be relevant to their situation.

The guidelines specify that you should plan a brunch for the class. There are some requirements, like vegetables are a must, etcetera. The pupils would then work in groups to complete the task and then present it to the class.

The class is going to the zoo. The students are divided into groups and must make a list consisting of five items or animals they find interesting in the park, and why. It must be presented at the end of the trip.
