Very Sad Scene

In this section of the story, Eddie sadly passes away which begins his journey meeting the five people in heaven. Eddie was helping trying to fix a broken ride at the pier and then as the ride came down the cable snapped falling on top of him. During this moment Eddie lunged forward trying to save a little girl before the cart came crashing down. This shows his selflessness and how much he cares for others even putting his life on the line to help and save other people. Eddie always cared for others and would do anything to help others and put them above himself an he proved this until the moment he died.

Important Scene(Eddies Death)

This section of the story is when Eddie has passed away and first arrives into heaven. for the first time to forever Eddie was able to feel no pain in his legs. Even after passing away at the pier, in heaven Eddie is still at the pier showing how that was one the place he found joy and happiness. Heaven is described a a perfect place filled with happiness and joy and Eddie could finally like he was a kid at the pier living on at the pier he called home.

Character Plot for the Blue Man

In this section of the story the blue man talks about his childhood and how he grew up. He grew up in a very stressful environment working at a young age. Because of all this stress he seemed out of medicine to help him which was silver nitrate which eventually turned his skin blue. People called him a freak and hideous which is what eventually led to him joining the carnival and being in the freak show. He had a very poor relationship with his father and grew up living wherever he could trying to find any job that would let him be employed.

Analysis for First Lesson

I found this section for the boom very important and insightful. In life there will always be two sides to every story and you never know how someone else is feeling and how something can effect you one way and someone else another. In this part of the story the Blue man almost hit Eddie. From Eddie's perspective he survived and moved on with his life, but the blue man driving the car had a heart attack and eventually died from the stress of almost killing a little boy. It's important to always be considered of everyone and their feelings and past traumas.

Very Shocking Scene

In this section of the story, the Captain is reminding Eddie of the story of how he hurt his leg. Eddie was running back into the enemy territory to try and help a figure he thought was a small child, but the captain knew if he went over there he would die so he shot him in the leg to prevent Eddie from going over there. Eddie had to sacrifice his leg in order to stay alive. This ties into the lesson Eddie learns after his visit is over with the Captain which is that sacrifice is necessary in life and in order thrive and improve in life.

Repetition From Chapter Before (Foreshadowing???)

In this section of the story, Eddie is about to leave the Captain and move onto the third person he meets in heaven. Eddie asks the man to now what happened to the girl he tried to save before he died. Eddie also asked the blue man this question before he left to move onto another person. However when Eddie asks this the man responds that "but someone can". This might be inferring that the little girl could be one of the people he meets.

Interesting Scene

I found this scene very interesting. When Eddie and the Captain both entered into the battle field they both saw and felt different things. Eddie felt anger and sadness form all the death and terrible memories he has during war. While on the other hand the Captain felt happy and sense of home at the battle field and instead saw the beautiful that is was instead of the events taking place. This goes to show how people are affected bye everything in different ways and everyone is different.

Scary Intense Scene

In this section of the book it shows what Eddie had gone through during the war and why he has so much PTSD and anger towards the war. Eddie and his fellow soldiers were taken hostage by the enemy and held in a cave where they were threaten and beat until eventually they were able to escape. This scene shows how Eddie no longer stays in contact with his solider friends and would rather block out all memories from the war and anything that ha dot do with it.

Important Scene That Shows Eddie's Father's True Character

In this scene it shows how much Eddie's father is able to put his emotions and impulses aside and help out his friend who is in grave danger. Leading up to this scene mickey had just broken into Eddies fathers home and was assaulting his wife begging for his job back. As the two were fighting and exchanging blows, Mickey had fallen into the rough ocean. Knowing Mickey would have no chance of surviving even after everything that had just occurred Eddies father took the high road and jumped into the water with him to save him. Eddie's father knew he was drunk, just lost his job and having one of the worst nights of his life. Eddie's father was able to put his emotions aside and do the right thing.

Very Sad Scene

In this section of the story Eddie had just returned from war with his new injury. Eddie feels lost and without his leg fully functioning is mostly lying around on the couch all day. Eddie's father doesn't understand depression and all he sees is weakness. With all this in mind Eddie and his father strike an argument which ends in Eddie raising his hand towards his father. After all of this is settled, Eddies father had never spoken to him again. This scene is very sad for both Eddie and his father and how easy it what for what little of a relationship they had to completely crumbled apart after one argument.

Sweet and Sour Moment

In this section of the story, Eddie comes home from a long day at the pier and his hands are all dirty and greasy. His father notices and says how it shows a hard day of work and gives him a little smile. This is the first time Eddie has ever gotten any sort of approval from his father. While this may seem like a nice thing, it also shows how they don't have the greatest relationship. It's rather sad that Eddies father has never even smiled at him until now when we was working at the pier all day.

Very Sad Moment for Eddie and His Relations With His Father

In this section of the story, when Eddie was a child he always wanted to try and be closer with his father however his father never exactly had the same intentions. Eddie would try and sit with his father while he played poker, but Eddie's father was very annoyed at this and decided to hit him with the back of his hand. This is very sad and just goes to show why Eddie and his father had such a horrible relationship and why Eddie typically clung to his mother throughout his childhood. Eddie never tried to get that close again to his father.

Happy Scene

In this section of the story, Eddie asks Tala if he had saved the little girl and he finds out that yes he did save her. This is a very significant moment since Eddie has asked all five people this question and none of them were able to answer him. Eddie also learns that it was Talas hands that he felt and not the little girls. Eddie is extremely relieved after this moment. Later in the story we learn that Eddie now waits in heaven for the little girl to one day arrive so he can share with her his story and teach her what she is suppose to learn in heaven as Eddie's five people did to him.

The Ending

In this final paragraph of the book we learn that Eddie now gets to spend the rest of heaven with his wife Margarine as God tells him that he is now home. This is a very heartwarming moment in the story as Eddie had lived a majority of his life without his wife being very depressed and sad. He now gets to spend every single day with her in heaven as the two get to make more memories and have all the time they wish they had before together.

Depressing Scene

In this section the book flashes back to Eddie's birthdays however unlike the other times when they only would show one year this showed multiple. After Eddie's wife passed away no one else would do anything for Eddie on his birthday so he always went about it as if it were a normal day. This goes to show how lonely and sad Eddie was without his wife and wouldn't do anything to celebrate anything.

Eddie Finally Sees His Wife

As Eddie is finished with his third person he moves onto his fourth person as he works his way through heaven. Eddie is finally able to see his wife after years and years of missing everything about her and not being able to spend their lives together as they once hoped. Eddie is able to learn how even after death their love still lives on and that true love will never die but instead take different forms and live on strong in memories.
