years ago, and from then on that is our main identity seal. Being a “Learning Community” means that parents and students take active part in school organization and life, working in different mixed committees. Moreover, we use

methods that according to the European project “Learning Communities” improve students’ academic results, such as Interactive Groups and Dialogical Discussions. In the school there are 773 students from 2 to 12. In the school, there are 72 teachers and round 50 volunteers, that work in the interactive groups. Volunteers are usually high school and university students, pupils’ parents and retired teachers.

Private Ege Middle School is located on a green campus covered with olive trees on a total area of 25,425 ㎡, consisting of 8 blocks, providing K-12 (kindergarten-elementary-secondary-secondary-high school) education with Yüksel Eraslan Cultural Center, Science and Technology Base (BİTÜ), Private Ege Library, one of the largest school libraries in the country, Sports Palace and playgrounds.

Approximately 20% of this area is allocated for classrooms for student quota, while the remaining 80% is allocated for academic, social, sportive, artistic and cultural activities, as well as catering, transportation, offices and meeting areas. Private Ege High School is a disabled-friendly school.

In our campus, where each grade level receives education in separate buildings, all areas from security to health, from food to transportation, from canteen management to the school store are included within our school.

Our school is located in the "heart" of Argyroupoli and borders two high schools in the area. The student population is 200 - 220 students and the Teachers' Association is made up of 28 permanent teachers. The cooperation between all members of our school community has been impeccable for many years now and has made our school one of the most active in the area. Our participation in actions and programs, Greek and European, is renewed every new school year and always aims to awaken and raise awareness not only of students, but also of teachers and parents-guardians for a sustainable, democratic and open to society and the future school.
