I was very nervous about the trip - the logistics, the cost, etc. - but am so very glad we did it. I get so uncomfortable and usually will just cry or not say anything. I especially get frustrated and hard to talk to someone when it comes to being sick and pain really hurts. I have a high tolerance for pain and usually when I am sick, I am sick. It is so hard to talk to a nurse or even a doctor about what has been going on with my symptoms because I have waited until the very last minute for any kind of assistance to help ease the pain.

I was walking home and noticed him trying to fight another student who was clearly smaller and in a vulnerable position. I had to jump in and settle separate the two as the situation was already turning violent. I think when we witness something in our community that is unacceptable, we have a duty to stand up, within our comfort zone, and be a voice and example for what we want. This was a memorable and scary moment for me, but the situation also reflecting back a moment that allowed my teammate to reflect a lot on who he had become while drunk.
