I use Nearpod to lead discussions in math. It's an easy way to have students solve problems and then show the class how other students solved the same problem. I can quickly see how every student solved each problem. Then I show good examples of work and point out things that I like seeing in their work, as well as work that was done incorrectly and ask students to explain where the problem was worked wrong and how it should be fixed.

I've used Nearpod as a form of formative assessment. I often start with a pre-assessment to find out where my students are at. I also allow my students to answer questions on their own as it gives me a chance to clear any misconceptions. By the end of the nearpod I have an idea on where I need to go next.

I like to use Nearpod Activities during my Math Lessons, it is very easy for me to realize who has understood, the concept, and I can easily see on my screen who did not answer correctly, after that, the students take the quiz. At the end of the activity, just click on reports, and receive an email directly from nearpod about what my students did.
