1. I'm interested in art because I like making art as well as the history and philosophy behind it. 2. I'm interested in Marcel Duchamp's shift from Cubism to Dadaism 3. "Cubism was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality invented in around 1907–08 by artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. They brought different views of subjects (usually objects or figures) together in the same picture, resulting in paintings that appear fragmented and abstracted." (Tate) 4. Find artist accounts, interviews, quotes, other's reaction, art work etc. 5. How did the personal, cultural, and social context of the 1910s influence Marcel Duchamp's shift from Cubism to Dadaism?

I think its good that your research question is specific towards one revolutionary artist. I think its really would be really interesting if you include your own attempts, or experience with cubism or dadaism. Maybe you can include how it has changed overtime and how it might have influenced, or been influenced by the social norms of that time.

I like how you connected two different waves of visual arts with one artist. It will be really interesting to read about how one's background history can influence the method of depicting a big idea. Since this is an art EE, you should be aware that you analyze how the history influenced art by recognising different features in the artwork!

I think that your topic is very well developed and it's very obvious that you know what you want to write about in your EE. I find how you're linking history and culture with the art really interesting and I think that there's a lot to talk about. One thing I would suggest with this topic is to, in fact, focus less on the forms of the pieces you choose. Although forms may have significance, I think that with your research question and topic, form should only be talked about to establish the theme of the pieces!!

I like your topic a lot because you are connecting different areas together. The fact that history, culture, and art are all connected is very interesting. I think that it would be good to focus less on such a broad topic like forms of the pieces, but rather the influences or themes they take.

I think you have a clear plan of what your EE is going to be about. I like that you are going to research about both Cubism and Dadaism and compare those. I think it will help you making your your EE more interesting :D
