For the development of this activity, the teacher will read the story aloud, so the students will develop the activities before, during, and after reading.

Before:
We will all orally review the vocabulary related to food, adjectives, and numbers.

During:
The students, by teams, have to match the food they see reflected in the story with the flashcards that we will provide them. Once they relate the food to the flashcards, they will have to say orally what food they have selected and how much of it the caterpillar ate.

After:
The students will paint the food from the story on paper plates using different colors and place them in the correct order according to the days of the week. They will build a caterpillar.

Expected time: 30 minutes.
Materials: Flashcards, plates, and colours.

Skills involved: Listening, speaking.

The students will learn vocabulary related to food, quantities, adjectives, days of the week, and numbers.

  • Solar System, is made up of the mother, who is the sun, her 8 children, the planets, and her pet, the moon. All this is seen from the eyes of the Earth, which is the place where human beings live.
The story has to include some of the characteristics of each planet (size, color, characteristics that make it different from the others). I will give them flashcards to make it more visually and simple.

Later, I will play on the digital screen a song that talks about the solar system, so the children will have to sing it and, if possible, dance it.

Finally, in teams, students will create a model of the solar system. They will need clay, markers, finger paint, and cardboard as a base.
