         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Humpback whale is one of many species of animal that collaborate with one another. These animals migrate, hunt, and swim together for many different reasons. One reason this behavior happens is for better protection or improved chances of survival from predators. Additionally, Humpback whales help each other hunt for fish. This is done in a peculiar manner called bubble netting, and is an interesting behavioral adaptation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Humpback whales use a hunting method called bubble netting . During this process, multiple whales from the pod will collaborate to trap their food. The whales will first locate a school of fish for trapping. They will then work together, making tight circular turns around the school, steadily releasing air out of their blowhole. This creates a wall of air that rises to the surface which the fish think is a solid barrier. Because of this the fish will stay in place, not swimming outside of the cylinder of bubbles. After this, one or multiple of whales from the pod will swim upwards, swallowing all of the trapped fish. This hunting method is a behavioral adaptation that stems from swarming. The food consumed helps lead to longer survival as well as more reproduction. Considering that the whales that participate in bubble netting are more agile and make quicker, sharper turns, the heightened life expectancy and reproduction drives natural selection.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Social behavior in humpback whales, along with other animals, is a great benefit that drives natural selection and adaptations. Due to humpback whales living in groups, they have adapted behaviorally, creating a complicated and curious hunting strategy. This gives the whales more food which often leads to longer lives and more reproduction. Adaptations like these benefit populations and are encouraged in any species that work socially.</div>]]></description>
