Doc 1: Historically, Europeans with the immense desire for exploration, and gain of luxury goods have already established colonies among the east coast of Early America after implementing the first instrument to colonization: joint stock companies. (namely the British) The late 16th centuries opted for the explosion in population, lack of labor, religious prosecution, which attributed to the colonial making of America. Opportunities.
Doc 2: (nearly the same.. but..) Certain colonies came off to a good start and were absolutely thriving, while others not so much; depending on those who arrived equates how well a colony did. Plymouth, a religiously motivated colony who associated with the Natives well = boost to their population, as contrasted to Jamestown, who performed awfully due to opposing ideals and undependable settlers. + bad relationship with Natives. (at its start, hence its low population due to disease and starvation..)

They called the native peoples Indians and proceeded to establish cities on land that was either borrowed or taken without permission. In North America, England dominated the East coast but were strongly opposed by native tribes.

2. When founding colonies in the New World, many settlers came to America to avoid persecution by the Church. Over a half of the white population in America was in indentured servitude. However, not all colonists were there by choice. Some were kidnapped, some were convicted, and some were sold into slavery.

1. This is a map of the original 13 British Colonies, built from land that was stolen from indigenous people in the Americas, mostly by force. The English colonized most of the East coast of North America.

2. This is a graph showing the rise in populations of the colonies from 1650 to 1700. As colonies were being established, and were able to be seen as a viable place to live, many people sailed to America to start a new life. Some were also sent by force, such as prisoners, since the prisons in England at this time were overcrowded.
