This monument conveys to us that firefighters have to work together in order to do their job well and also that they are selfless. I can infer that they have to use teamwork because it shows two men controlling a water hose to put out a fire and I inferred they were selfless based on the fact that they show one of them rescuing a victim in the back. I also notice that there are 4 plaques around the memorial with different names, from this I can infer that those 4 men were important and also must have died saving people from fires.

This monument conveys to us that you can do anything you want and to help others with your voice and also that you should not be scared to stand up for your rights.  I can infer this based on the fact that he was not scared to stand up for his rights and the rights of others.I also notice that on the side of his monument it says"Out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope. From this I can infer that they were a very inspiring change they made on how they treated people of color and the rights they changed for a more equal.
