When the astronaut was saying how everything we've known in life could hide behind our thumb, it made me think deeply about how small we are compared to the universe. I was really surprised to see the actual proportions of the Earth and other planets, compared to the Sun rising in this video. I believe that by seeing that his model of the Sun matched up with the real Sun, showed that the proportions, and scale was correct.
