Summary of response:
After reviewing our work again, we decided that our previous theme on "Equity and Dignity" was a broad theme to discuss in/for our creative response. Therefore, after some thinking, we decided to get a whole new theme and came up with the idea of "Change".

What to do from here:
Based on theme, identify different aspects in our own lives where we experienced change (any sort)
*Also, new theme relates to "change" of our theme - small change, but still, it's change 

Story idea/narration:
- Create a whole new character that goes through different changes
- Starts off as a stick man/figure (e.g. image)
- Character does not want change, but goes through them anyway because that is how life goes sometimes
- By the end of the story, character realises that change is not so bad

I was too comfortable where I already was. change did not sound so good to me. 

    Pros: 
    - opportunity for new a new experience 
    - better chance in getting a good education overseas 
    - I still had my (immediate) family with me 

    Cons: 
    - did not know what was out there 
    - fear of meeting new people and
    adapting to change 
    - losing my old friends 
    - not having a lot of family, especially my cousins, around 

    I had no choice, I had to move. if I did not it would make things more complicated for my family. a decision had already been made. 

    what motivated me to change was that my dad had talked to me about not having to stay in the same place for a long time. it's good to get out there and experience the world. the first step I took to make a change was deicing not the be comfortable and step out of my comfort zone. therefore, the action I took was acceptance.  

    as a result, I have seen that it is not so bad to accept and let change happen. I have grown from my experience and stepping out of comfort zones only make you better. I have learnt that I do not want to stay in the same place/environment.

My mind just went blank and I didn’t know how to feel about losing someone close to me and how it will change my life.
     
    Pros:
    • Reflect on the life of my family member
    • Celebrate the life of my family member 
    • My immediate family would be there to support me and each other
     
    Cons:
    • I was going to miss them
    • Although I felt quite emotionally exhausted from their loss, I felt horrible that other family members had to try and move on from the loss of a family member
    • The close relationships of the family member that passed away would be broken
     
    Consequences:
    • Family would be in a state of confusion - how do they live on with the loss of a close loved one? 
      • Other family would be forever changed by the loss of a loved one 
     
    I felt that sitting in grief and sadness would only worsen my mental state. I knew immediately that I had to live on in memory of the loved one I lost and let nothing bring me down about their absence in my life. I decided to sing for them at their funeral, and to strive to work hard in my studies as they did in their life. 
     
    As a result of their absence, I am much closely connected with my extended family then before. I remain in contact with family very frequently - more than once a week. I've also learned to appreciate every moment and day in my life, whether it may be good or bad. I remain diligent with my study and I hope to start living not just for myself, but for my family and friends.
