26th 1931, the La placita Catholic church, (a Mexican hub) was surrounded by immigration agents who started arresting suspected undocumented citizens. These people were then loaded into vans, and were driven back to Mexico. It was reported that 600+ were deported that day. This picture shows one of the problems with the 1930s society. It gives us an idea on how america handled immigration then and teaches us the troubles that immigrants had to go through during that time. This picture shows a shocking reality contrary to what alot of people might think the 1930s were like.

On the other hand it makes people very happy and they can dance so they can forget about the hard times of the depression. he also created 2 different styles of jazz and was a ground breaking idol.

Amelia Earhart was a pilot from the 1930s. She's best known for her historical attempt to fly across the transatlantic. But tragically wasn't able to complete her goal. Amelia and her plane was never found and still hasn't been found to this day, however this attempt was a revolutionary step for aviation and was seemingly impossible to accomplish in the 1930s. The impact of this photograph and what it entails is not the goal, but the attempt. This attempt sparked lots of popularity and attention and gained even more when her and her plane went missing.
