WALKER M

	PLAYGROUND

	50 CENT

	NON FICTION

This book was about 50 cent as a kid. It is written by him and it talks about how he used to be a bully and now is strongly against it. There are so many funny parts in this book and also sad parts. Near the end of the book his friends leave him because he was a bully, which leaves him with no friends at all. There is quite a bit of cursing and mature content but I recommend this book to 13 and up. I give this book 5/5 stars because is was interesting, sad, and sometimes downright hilarious. I also would recommend this to boys more than girls. Now 50 cent a very successful rapper and came out with a movie called “GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN” which was very successful. That movie was about his 20’s when he was in trouble with the police and gangs a lot. He has since moved on to rap and is very successful.

The series is about Michael, a boy that will his two best friends get into trouble. A hacker named Kaine starts messing with the Virtnet. Michael, Sarah, and Bryson have many different problems they have to face. The Virtnet Security takes a big part in the whole story, good and bad. Michael faces problems in the Virtnet and in real life.

I give The Mortality Doctrine Series four out of five and I highly encourage that you read the whole series. I thought it was very good. If you don’t want to read the whole series I recommend the first book, The Eye of Minds.

Title: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series
Author: Jenny Han

Genre: Drama/Romance

The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series is one of my favorite book series. It gave me all of the feels, and the author, Jenny Han, was able to really grab my attention. I couldn’t even put the book down. Once I finished one, I was right on to the next one! In the first book, Lara Jean writes a love letter to each boy she has loved, 5 total, seals, addresses, and stamps them, but never sends them out. She keeps them in a teal hatbox in her room that her mother gave to her. One day, somehow the letters get out. There is lots of drama between the boys, and Lara Jean has a “fake relationship” with one of the guys, Peter, to get the other guy to think she doesn’t like him anymore. The other guy is Josh, the neighbor. Josh is dating Lara Jean’s older sister, Margot. She is very close to her family. There’s a lot of love in the book, especially since Lara Jean’s mom died, her dad trying to make a new relationship, and helping her younger sister grow up. She’s got quite a bit of pressure, and things to make care of. Some crazy things happen along the way through the series between the guys too, all 5! Overall these books were so good and I’d definitely recommend the whole series, 3 books in all. 5/5 stars! They would be best for girls ages 12-13 and up.

"All the Bright Places" is a romance for teens. The book is about a high school boy who writes on post-it notes of what happened or what he wants to happen. He will stick the good post-its on the wall and rip the bad post-its into little pieces then throw those bad pieces away. That’s not the romance though but it goes with it. The romance is this boy and a girl who goes to his school he ends up really liking her, so he starts talking to her a lot. They become more friendly and start hanging out. The more they hang out the more romantic they are to each other. Well during the time of them becoming more in love he always rights a post-it of her.

Title:Wonder
Author: R.J. Palacio
Genre: Realistic Fiction Wonder is about a kid named Auggie who has this disease on his body. For his whole life he hasn’t been going to public school but all of that changed.. When he was walking up to his new school some people were in shock and other people were more worried. He wasn’t the most popular boy in his grade because of his disabilities but he also didn’t have any friends. Towards the middle of the school year he still didn’t have many friends except one named Summer. Auggie had this other “friend” but it turned out he was only his friend because of what the teachers said to him.. Auggie was still hurtful because of the friend that he thought he had. The whole school came up with this thing similar to the cheese touch which is if someone touched Auggie they would have his disease. Auggie didn't enjoy having this disease but it was who he was. When school was coming to the end of the year they went on this trip and Auggie got bullied because of the way he looked but it didn’t really bother him because he has lived with being bullied pretty much his whole life. When it became the ending of the school year they had an award ceremony Auggie was shock what he won.
I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars because it teaches us a lesson that we shouldn’t treat people even when they have a disability or because they look different then all of us..

There is a boy named miles and he is a junior in high school and his dad is super hard on him and won’t quit being hard unless miles becomes a starter. So they have a All star lineman 300 pounds who is huge and he tells Miles to take these pills and he says there just caffeine and it’s just like drinking red bull so he takes them. Because he thinks that all of the seniors take it. This is why you shouldn’t believe someone just because they’re older than you and tell you that other people do it. I give this book a ⅘ stars because there was ups and downs in this book, like when Miles was at football practice and was getting yelled at by his father wasn’t very interesting. But once Miles starting doing bad things it got interesting to see what would happen.

Title:Number The Stars
Author:Lois Lowry
Genre:Historical Fiction
Number the Stars is a historical fiction novel about a curious Copenhagen girl named Anne Marie. What started by shutting down many jew businesses, including a measly button store evolved into sending jews into poorly ran concentration camps. In the book Anne Marie and her family (including Peter Neilson) face many problems while trying to get the Rosens safely out of Copenhagen,, Denmark. When things take an unexpected turn. You can count on the Johansson's to come up with a plan . However, Anne Marie, even as a 10 year old, is up for the challenge to help the Rosens get to Sweden. In the story both the Johansson's and the Rosens make sacrifices to get to the free lands they hope for.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5. Not only does it tell a great tale, but shows true friendship between totally different people. This story can teach the modern world that race or religion doesn’t matter because in the end we are all human beings. I strongly suggest Number The Stars to others because it shows a great meaning of history and its very dauntless story.

	Title: The Keeper

	Author: Tim Howard

	Biography

The Keeper is probably the best book that I have ever read. The Keeper is a book that is about a goalie who has tourette's syndrome and plays for a professional team. Over the time of the book you find out what he is thinking and doing during his soccer games. He goes on and on and gets better and better, and gets on good teams. He goes on to play on a pro. Team. there is something about this book that just grabs you and makes you love it. This has to be the best book that i have read so far. I would like him to really write another one just like his first one. I highly suggest this book for one of your book projects. All in All I rate this book A 5 out of 5 star rating, just because it is a good fast and easy read.
