What is 2D?
- I would define 2D as being restricted to a flat surface and being viewed from one perspective. It's about creating an illusion through the use of photography, printmaking, drawing and painting

What is an image?
- A replication of the real world also known as an interpretation or imitation of the world
- It allows us to accept deception 
- Examples are pictures, maps, fonts, symbols, and dreams

The concept of an image is recognised as human as we are taught to read the images

- I also like the way it looked like a little ghost.
- Now reflecting on the idea of it looking like a ghost a cool concept would have been to paint it in more of a Halloween colour like orange and paint it like a pumpkin as the face could be like that of a Jack lantern.
- I like the texture of the hexagon pattern and have had experience with painting lace-like objects so I decided to add it in for some interesting textures.

- The exhibition at the time is about the 1970-80s forgotten history of Sydney. The works are heavily inspired by and depict protesting during the time. 
- I really enjoyed the screen print wall as I have a passion for printmaking and I loved the range of colour's and styles of all the different posters and went arranged together really complements each one's uniqueness and stand-out features.

Printmaking

Today we made prints inspired by maps. We did one off prints by making stencils out of paper. I choose to do a red print because I liked the colour compared to the others which were printing just a tad too dark for what I wanted. 

We then also did a trace print in black and I was inspired by topographic maps to make a pattern that replicates the different heights of the land. - I found myself considering the previous step rules in the future steps for example, draw a geometric shape, then the next step was draw another shape. I would then tend to draw another geometric shape instead of any type of shape.
