Helicopter view and from layer by layer.
1 difficulty I have faced is to identify the number of unit cubes in a confusing figure or huge number of unit cubes figure.

~The difficulty I faced was that when I was given a figure, I always don't get the correct direction of the different views of figure. I would always get mixed up if the view figure should be horizontal,vertical,left or right.
