         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cattafi, K. (2017, October 25) Lodi schools praised as model for the state after a significant paarc score increase. Retrieved from www.amp.northjersey.com<br>     IN this article, Lodi Schools, in New Jersey, failed miserably on the PAARC Assessment the first time it was administered to students. The district has spent $2.9 million to upgrade technology throughout their district since 2015, including the purchase of 1,000 chromebooks. Technology is embedded into every classroom.  Because of this, Lodi made significant gains in test scores and the state of New Jersey is using Lodi as an example to other schools in the state. <br><br></div>]]></description>

Retrieved from<br>www.eschoolnews.com<br>     Teacher Jamie Morgan had what she described as "scary test scores" prior to the introduction of Chromebooks into her kindergarten classroom, changed by the end of the year into scores that "surpassed any previous year".  Chromebooks were used daily and scores increased. She also claimed that they helped with student differentiation . </div>]]></description>

Retrieved from<br>www.journalistsresource.org<br>     In this study from Michigan State University studying the effectiveness of distributing laptops/chromebooks to every student, several things were proven. The study showed that ELA students improved their English and language skills. Low income students improved their test scores.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Doran, L., &amp; Herold, B., (2016, May 17) 1- to -1 laptop initiatives boost student scores, study finds. Retrieved from <br>www.mobileedweek.org<br>     In this article, it discusses the trend since 2002 to implement 1:1 technology with students to raise test scores. Research found that not all studies showed that 1-1 technology initiatives resulted in higher test scores. It did conclude that 1-1 laptops did improve students' academic achievement, however.<br>     </div>]]></description>

(2017, July 29)<br>New study finds alabama students improve test scores using fuel education's stride.<br>Retrieved from<br>www.newsroom.k12.com<br>     Students in Alabama used a program called STRIDE on chromebooks. Use of this program on chromebooks increased pass rates in Math by 15% and Reading by 10%.Special Education students passed with a rate of 57% improvement. Experts deem the improvement gained way by use of the new program on technology devices at school and home. </div>]]></description>
