This enigmatic quote expresses a revolution in our thinking of the relation between the mind and the world. It says that neither is our mind a simple and more or less faithful recording of an outer reality, nor is the world a carefully orchestrated fiction of the mind. Rather it is only because consciousness itself imposes a network of structures unto the world that there is any manifest knowable reality. English is not my first-language, but I'm getting there. I read a lot of science-inspired novels, and if they have philosophical nuggets they get extra credit. 

For the time that I've been given, however long or short, I seek not only to understand the world, but create worlds into it. That I want to be my writing - Worldbuilding. And as I build, know myself - Heautognosy.
