Neste dia 2 de março, os alunos foram recebidos pelos professores da equipa Erasmus. O espetáculo no anfiteatro contou com o hino europeu, um discurso de boas-vindas, uma apresentação da nossa escola e uma momento musical.

Este momento simbolizou o início oficial das atividades, reforçando o espírito de cooperação, partilha e intercâmbio cultural que caracteriza o projeto Erasmus+. 🌍

Entre apresentações e primeiros contactos, alunos e professores tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer melhor a escola, o seu funcionamento e a comunidade educativa que nos acolhe.

The day began with a welcome from the headteacher to our group, followed by a tour of the different areas of the school.

This moment symbolised the official start of the activities, reinforcing the spirit of cooperation, sharing, and cultural exchange that characterises the Erasmus+ project. 🌍

Through presentations and initial interactions, students and teachers had the opportunity to get to know the school, its organisation, and the educational community that is hosting us.

A chegada a Craiova ficou marcada por um momento muito especial: o reencontro com as famílias romenas, que já tinham anteriormente acolhido os nossos alunos em Portugal. 💛

Entre sorrisos e abraços, foi fácil retomar ligações já criadas, reforçando os laços de amizade e partilha que dão verdadeiro sentido a este projeto Erasmus+. 🌍

Reuniting in Craiova

Our arrival in Craiova was marked by a very special moment: reuniting with the Romanian host families, who had previously welcomed our students in Portugal. 💛

With smiles and warm greetings, it was easy to reconnect and strengthen the bonds of friendship and sharing that truly define this Erasmus+ experience. 🌍

Com entusiasmo, curiosidade e espírito de equipa, levamos connosco não só as malas, mas também as vozes da natureza que estamos prontos para dar a ouvir. 🌿🎭

Our Erasmus+ adventure has officially begun!

Eduardo, Fabiana, Guilherme and Inês, accompanied by teachers Alice Póvoa and Lígia Martins, are on their way to Craiova, Romania, ready for a new week of learning, creativity and international collaboration. 🌍

With enthusiasm, curiosity and team spirit, we carry with us not only our luggage, but also the voices of nature that we are ready to share. 🌿🎭

Os nossos alunos já estão totalmente integrados nas famílias de acolhimento romenas, vivendo de perto o verdadeiro espírito Erasmus+. 💛

Our students are now fully integrated with their Romanian host families, experiencing the true spirit of Erasmus+. 💛

Through shared moments, meals, and the discovery of local culture — from city outings to football matches — bonds are growing stronger, memories are being created, and friendships are crossing borders. 🌍

Mais do que um espaço de beleza, o jardim reúne material biológico vivo destinado ao estudo e à investigação fundamental e aplicada.

Esta experiência convidou os alunos a refletir sobre a importância da vida vegetal, bem como o seu valor científico, económico e cultural na melhoria da qualidade de vida e na proteção do ambiente. 🌍

Exploring the Botanical Garden

During our visit to the Botanical Garden, students had the opportunity to explore a rich and diverse collection of living plant species.

More than just a place of beauty, the garden hosts living biological material used for study and both fundamental and applied research.

This experience invited students to reflect on the importance of plant life, as well as its scientific, economic, and cultural value in improving quality of life and protecting the environment. 🌍

Preparation of the theatre play – finding solutions to the problems identified in Portugal.

Visit to “Nicolae Romanescu” Park, the largest natural park in Eastern Europe and one of the most representative monuments of Romanian landscape architecture. Designed by the French landscape architect Édouard Redont and inaugurated in 1903, the park covers around 90 hectares and includes lakes, bridges, wooded areas, walking paths and remarkable examples of landscape design. This visit will allow participants to observe how urban green spaces can contribute to biodiversity, environmental awareness and quality of life.

The entrance to Parcul General Ion Dragalina, in Orșova, a Romanian city located on the banks of the Danube. It is an urban park situated near the riverside area, connected to the landscape of the Cerna Gulf and to the city’s close relationship with the river. It can serve as a starting point or stop before exploring the Iron Gates area.

The famous rock sculpture of Decebalus, the last king of Dacia, is carved into the rock on the banks of the Danube, near Orșova, in the Iron Gates area, between Romania and Serbia. It is considered the largest rock sculpture in Europe, standing about 55 metres high, and was created between 1994 and 2004.

Decebalus symbolises the ancient Dacian civilisation, which fought against the Roman Empire, especially during the campaigns of Emperor Trajan.

The Tabula Traiana is a Roman inscription associated with Emperor Trajan. It is located on the Serbian side of the Danube, also in the Iron Gates region.

It was created around 100 AD to commemorate the construction of a Roman military road along the Danube. Later, with the construction of the Iron Gates dam, the inscription was moved to a higher location to prevent it from being submerged.
