He is hot-headed and out to kill Romeo, all because he simply showed up at the Capulet party. He refuses to take no for an answer. If there were no feud Romeo and Juliet could have just fallen in love and married and been happy. When the Friar finds Juliet "dead", he tells the Capulets, "The heavens do lour upon you for some ill" (240). The friar is saying that both families are to blame.
