The beginning of the book starts fast and mysterious. The author sets the stage for this future dystopian novel. Although the book started fast, towards the third chapter, it became very repetitive and kept talking about 1 specific theme. It interested me at first with it's creepy story line, but it got a little boring and repetitive after a while when it was just detail after detail and introducing so many characters - I kind of wanted it to jump right in to the story. Also, the tone created is extremely negative so it's not the happiest book to read, but it seems pretty interesting and it will probably be a good read.

I like how the author words his sentences and his nonchalant way of writing because it provides a more sophsticated yet casual feeling that helps me relate to the book better and, therefore, makes it easier to read. One thing that I didn't like about this book is that the characters' realationship is already established in the beginning. I don't usually like those types of romance books because they're more slow paced, but the author's style of writing and how he sets up the story helps to keep me interested.

My book is starting off a little slow since there are so many characters you learn about. Every chapter is from a different point of view. So it gives an interesting look on the story because it lets you see the world through different mind sets. The story should become interesting with the death in the story. With a major threat in the North the story will more then likely get more intense.

Also it tells us about the main characters earlier life and how he was brought into the war. So far this book is great and I can't wait to read the rest
