Week 1:

there was nothing in this team's minds but helping the world become a better place through the activism of Terracycle in school. because we believe this is an excellent starting point for us to teach this community the importance of taking care of the environment and loving earth. so we sat every afternoon and think about various and creative ways of spreading this idea effectively.

Week 2:

We noticed that the people of IAS are still not aware that they need to separate their trash in order to help the environment despite the team's constant effort of reminding them of the importance. We made some posters for the school and walked around every recess to incite the students to place their trash in the correct bins.

Week 3:

Terracycle is working hard to attract more people to "think green", and recycle. The group designed this really awesome posters that give a message for the student body. As the year progresses each day there is a change, more people are getting involved and interested on the trash we humans make abundantly. We have reached the whole school, now the next mission its goal, to motivate. We are motivating people to be the best versions of themselves by helping to recycle. An example would be if our group notices someone putting trash where it does not belong, either we inform them that there is a place for that or we pick it up, so they make consciousness that its awful that someone else picks up their trash. The mission is to make it necessary for students to recycle so the school can be clean and guilt free from trash that is generated.

week 4

This fourth week we brought terracycle boxes and decorated them so everyone at school can feel a little more close to the cause. We could see that not everyone is fully aware of what is happening with the boxes because some people throw away other trash that is not terracycle, and the team of terracycle wants to target that situation next week.

i want to invite all of you to take a look at the terracycle webpage again, there has been an update from the company. now they are giving prizes to the people that bring more waste, i think we could do something similar in our proyect

this is a message to thank you all fror colaboratig so much throughout this bimester. we are very proud to see the changes in the children at school. even though progress was slow, kids now seem to have understood to put the bags of chips in thir respective boxes , separated from the general trash. i am very grateful to have a team so enthusiast, this week roxy made more posters, armando went to homerooms to ask the children to put trash in the boxes and inform them about other topics, majo always had a smile on her face when she saw a kid use our terracycle boxes, amaia and i started planning the terracycle fashion show of next semester and casilda brought a lot of products to recycle from her home and posted it on snapchat to creater a greater concience among all of our contacts. thank you all so much for helping this proyect grow.

This week was one of the easiest weeks of all. We are so excited to see all of you so encouraged to recycle! We have seen many of you throw away your terracycle trash in the correct bins. This week we have constantly passed to your tables in the recess to remind you to separate your trash and recycle. Don't forget to keep recycling this vacation! See you in January Greenies :)

the team is so very exited of starting this new year with a lot of energy and enthusiasm to encoyrage the school to recycle more. we are anxious to tell the school about the recycling fashion show

Hey there greenies!! We are extremely proud of you. We have noticed the huge change in your attitudes towards recycling.
We have great news for you, we filled our first box! Next week we will ship it to Mexico City :) We'll let you know how that goes.

this week amaia and i went during homeroom to the classrooms at the top. we reminded people that they had to place their bags of chips and cookies in the terracycle containers to help us ship the box to the terracycle bases. we told them about Terracycle and their comitment with the envoronment, they seemed cooperative because we have seen an increase in the amount of trash deposited in our bings. we are exited about measuring them this week in a box to see if we can fill anotherone :D
ps: we woulve liked to take a picture of us talking to the students but we couldnt take it out in front of the teachers because its not allowed)

this week terracyclers gathered at recess to collect all the new trash of chips and cookies wrapings.
there was a lot more trash than next week. we guess this is due to the taks we gave to the children during homeroom time the last week. it seems that people are participating more than before and are respecting more the terracycle bins

This week we brought examples of what to bring from home to help terracycle. We asked kids to bring toothpaste or packages of toothbrushes and reserved three of them, we also brought ourselves an example each one of the toothpaste or a package to give the example.

On Wednesday we also went through six homerooms to talk about how to help us even more. Trying to motivate them to not throw their Chiefs just wherever and to actually hold onto them until they see a box of terracycle.

We think people are starting to get motivated since we shared that we already send boxes out so that we show that this is real that we are not just playing.

this week terracyclers kept on promoting the toothpaste movement between students. even though it is hard at the beggining we are positive that we will make an impact on students and they will eventually start bringing their toothpase waste bottles. it is always hard. like at the beggining very few people threw their chip and cookie´s trash in the terracycle bins and now they do it automatically (most of the people).

on thursday the team gathered to collect all the trash from the entire school and added to the huge pile of trash we had gathered from the lasts weeks. it is getting really big! we are exited about finally sending the boxes

Hey there crazy ecologists! Terracycle had an amazing week And this is how it went... Roxy took care of combining all the boxes in the second and third floor. Carla and majo separate the sabritas And cookies into their appropiated box. Also we talked to our beloved teacher about the paper To send our terracycle boxes! We hope you had an amazing ecology week like we had too. Have a good one.

another week of separating trash. there is a lot of waste accumulated in school throughout the week and everytime we recollect more. we are aiming to have the enough weight in the boxes to send them to the terracycle bases. the goal is tough. we need 2-5kg in each box. it will not be easy but we are hoping to encourage more the students so they dont forget to use the many terracycle boxes in school. this week we recolected all the wrappings and separated them in their respective boxes at la salida :)

during the last week terracyclers went around during homeroom to remind the students about our job in school and in what ways they are able to support us. on the last friday terracyclers stayed during the salida and collected all the trash from the week and deposited in their respective boxes in the ecology classroom, waiting to see them again till the next day of school scince we were leaving for spring break!!

this week terracyclers went around the school to collect the trash from every bin and put it all togather in the main boxes. we are very exited about finally sending the boxes to the terracycling centres but we are still missing some weight. but we are positive we will send the boxes shortly

HEY TERRACYLERS! we are back from the break with a lot of enthusiasm and we wen around he classrooms of the lower floor to tell the little kids to pleasssseee put the trash in the respective bins. we have the fortune that Miss Ana is giving points to the people that collect more toothpaste trash because that motivates students even more and we are happy many people seem to bring that wired and hard to recycle trash from their homes <3
